Has anyone else had a problem like this?. I wonder if it is a technology mis-match and I should be using smaller cards. Did you format the card in-camera before using it? Is the 64gb card supported by Nikon in the D? How old is the card? Was it used in other cameras? I have used 16GB cards in both my D and D without issues.
However, I've not tried larger cards. I prefer not to have too large of a card, with too many photos on it, in case there's an issue with the card for whatever reason. I believe, though, that 32GB is the largest size it will support, if you have the latest firmware. Check to be sure you have this firmware:.
