I dont think you need to worry. I wipe all my equitment at work down numerous times through out the day with alcohol spray. Then im holding the same tools all day. I really dont think that much alcohol os going to absorb through the skin to harm your baby. Maybe for now just use a more natural cleaning agent, maybe vinegar? As for the past Id think your fine.
Alcohol evaporates pretty fast so I doubt much gets absorbed into your skin! Thanks for the reply! I hope I did not overdo it! I got worried because I read that alcohol pads that contain isopropyl alcohol are stronger than hand sanitizer that contains ethyl alcohol! But hopefully everything is ok. I wouldn't worry about it. I use rubbing alcohol to clean the spot on my stomach where I take blood thinner injections every day.. Lots of women need them to deliver a healthy baby, so lots of women are wiping the injection site while pregnant!

The skin on your fingers is only semi permeable, it doesn't let everything in. I'm a nurse and use alcohol swabs all day every day, I also had a pic line in for 3 months that required weekly dressing changes with lots of alcohol. Its fine. I work in a lab where I use alcohol daily in a spray bottle to spray down and sanitize my work station as well as rub it directly on my hands and arms before specific procedures.
When I first found out I was pregnant called mother risk. He said even the trace amounts I may inhale since I was also using it as a spray would not be great enough to affect the baby.
